About Me

Jacqueline Herbstman is a Clinical Social Worker who sees individuals and couples for mindfulness-based psychotherapy. She maintains a private practice in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago.

Ms. Herbstman has over a decade of experience helping clients find new ways to be with the changes life inevitably brings. Whether the change is related to moving locations or countries, the beginning or loss of an important relationship, the rollercoaster of parenthood or the diagnosis of a chronic or mental illness; she assists clients to find a new balance and excitement about life. She uses an integrative, mindfulness-based approach to therapy, combining evidence-based Western models with the wisdom of ancient Eastern traditions.

Jacqueline Herbstman earned her Master's degree from New York University's School of Social Work in 2004. Prior to her move to the United States, she received a Master's in Health Sciences from Maastricht University, The Netherlands, with a focus on mental health issues in the workplace. Jacqueline worked in a Boston community mental health center after graduation, until she moved to Chicago in 2009. Before starting her own practice in 2015, she was a therapist at Integrative Health Partners.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Jacqueline has spent the past 15 years experiencing, exploring and being fascinated by the differences and similarities of life in two worlds and cultures. This enables her to work well with a diverse group of clients, coming from various cultural backgrounds and countries.
